I Inherited 5 Garnishing Orders-Governor Sule Tell Journalists

Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule has revealed that he inherited five garnishing orders in the court when he assumed office on May 29th,2020.

 

He gave the disclosure when members of the Correspondents’ Chapel paid him a sallah homage at his country home in Gudi.

 

Engr Sule explained that he inherited enormous garnishing orders in the courts ranging from an order from the Chief Executive Officer of a private radio station, Breeze F.M.

 

Others according to him are garnishing order for land compensation in Kari Local Government Council.

 

He further added that the last garnishing order was the one between the immediate past administration of Umaru Tanko Al-Makura and pensioners in the State.

 

He confirmed that the State account was garnished by High Court 16 sitting in Apo, Abuja.

 

He described the unfolding as unfortunate to the civil servants been the engine room of the State civil service.

 

“Pensioners are not people you should play with or you abandoned while considering their contributions”.

 

The Governor said the quantum of money was inherited right from military era to Al-Makura administration which I succeeded”.

 

He said the freezing of the State account was unfortunate and coming at an embarrassing time of sallah celebration.

 

“I can attest to you that civil servants have gotten their salaries except pensioners, whom he said would got their share on Monday next week”.

 

He sympathises with Local Government for paucity of funds, adding that civil at the Local Government are owned July salary.

 

It could recalled that High court 16 sitting in Apo,Abuja presided over by Honorable Justice Belgore freeze the account of the State Government with Zenith bank.
