How Governor Mohammed Abubakar Of Bauchi State Squandered  N500 Billion Bauchi’s State Allocation In Three Years -Capt. Bala Jibrin

A gubernatorial hopeful on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi state, Capt. Bala Jibrin has alleged that the incumbent Governor, Mohammed Abubakar has received over Five Hundred (N500) billion naira, as state and local governments’ grants from the Federal Government in the last three years without commensurate projects to show on ground.

Capt. Bala Jibrin made this allegation at the weekend, while speaking to journalists in Misau town of Bauchi state during the commissioning ceremony of his campaign office and vehicles.

He lamented that the present administration in the state has performed below expectation compared to what the previous governments were able to do in the state.

Jibrin carpeted Governor Abubakar for his alleged frequent travels abroad decrying that huge resources that would have been invested in tangible projects were being spent by the governor on such trips, promising not to imitate the governor if elected in 2019.

“If given the mandate, I will not be globetrotting anyhow because I have travelled to over 60 countries. I don’t have thirst for that now. Instead, I will remain in the state and focus on how to move the state forward “, he said.

In a remark, a chieftain of the APC and ex-chairman of the former All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP), Alhaji Shehu Sani, popularly called ‘Sanin Malam’ claimed that Yobe, Jigawa, Gombe and other states that were created later than Bauchi are now doing better than the state due to, “poor governance”.

Sani, urged voters to vote out the incumbent Governor Mohammed Abubakar in 2019, revealing that other governorship aspirants under the APC have signed a pact to step down for the most accepted contender among them in order to defeat the governor in the forthcoming party primaries.
