How Governor Al-Makura Destroyed Nigerian Newsday And Other Legacies We Built For People Of Nasarawa State-Maku

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Labaran Maku says it is only an irresponsible government that would destroy good legacies bequeathed the people of the state by past leaders.

The Governorship candidate of APGA in Nasarawa State stated this when over 30 APGA support groups paid him New Year homage at his abode in Nasarawa Eggon.

Maku averred that he forgive all those casting aspersion on his political pedigree using Nasarawa Broadcasting Services ,Lafia which he said was the legacies they left behind.

“The state is enjoying the Radio and Television station we built when I was the Commissioner of Information under governor, Abdullahi Adamu”.

“I want to offer myself for the sack of Nasarawa state to end the ongoing killings, rising spate of poverty, hunger”.

“We want to end percent payment of salary and pension, implement promotion of staff, and revive Nigerian Newsday that was grounded to a halt” he added.

Labaran Maku opined that he has all the capability to lead the state to the promise land, reeling out some of the achievements recorded under PDP when he served as a minister under President Good luck Jonathan.

“We shared computers, built schools, roads, Permanent site of the Central Bank of Nigeria while on my own I gave appointment to indigenes of the state across all the thirteen Local Governments of the state”.

In a related development governor, Umaru Tanko Al-makura has enjoined the citizens of Nasarawa State to rediscover the value of patriotism and rededicate themselves to the task of rebuilding Nigeria.  

The goodwill message was signed by the Director General,Strategic Communication and Press Affairs, Yakubu Lamai and made available to Journalists.

He urged the citizens of Nasarawa State to “PUT NIGERIA 1ST” while noting that: “The love of country is not a passing emotion, but a natural state of mind for all citizens!”

The governor further said :”People are naturally bound to their country of birth and it is a moral responsibility placed upon each citizen to protect, nurture and care about the fortunes of his village,  state and country of origin and that: “Citizens  must collectively strive to willingly contribute in developing this country for generations unborn! ”     

Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura implored the citizens of Nasarawa State to thank God for the gift of life noting that” life is a gift from the Almighty and the true essence of our lives as individuals ” is to leave a lasting legacy and contribute our best during our short time on earth, by enriching the lives of others and preserving the land of origin, where God placed us!”                           

“as we enter the new year Nigeria faces a historic election in 2019, which will determine the destiny and future of our country, which is why he urges all Nigerians, particularly the people of Nasarawa State to “MAKE 2019 A YEAR OF LOVE FOR COUNTRY!”  and for all citizens.
