Hon.Tunga Commends Governor Al-Makura For The Commencement Of 30km Awe-Tunga Federal Road, Expansion Of General Hospital

The majority leader of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly,Hon.Tanko Tunga (APC) representing Awe North has commended the state Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura for the commencement of construction work of a 30Km Awe-Tunga Federal road.

The two time lawmaker said the construction of 30km Awe-Tunga road if completed would ameliorate the plight of people of Tunga and its environ. The lawmaker stated this during an exclusive interview at his abode recently.

The lawmaker opined that the effort of the state Government was to liberate people of those areas from non-access road which he said cause untold hardship to communities enmeshed by flood disaster ,describing the five years journey as a paradigm shift in the governance of the All Progressives Congress in the state.

The member also applauded the Governor for the ongoing expansion of Awe General hospital, other projects executed by the Governor according to Hon.Tanko Tunga include the construction of township roads in Awe.

Speaking on the one year of the led- APC federal Government under the headship of president Muhammadu Buhari and his fight on corruption and insurgency in the north-Eastern part of the country, the Honourable member commended the president for winning the fight on Boko Haram insurgents.

Tunga attributed the winning war on insurgency to the leadership style of president Muhammadu Buhari as he said the federal Government has subdue and submerge the insurgents .

“To fight corruption to a halt, we must have an attitudinal change”. The member while comparing between the sixteen years of PDP and five years of Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura hail the current Government in the state for embarking on people’s oriented project.

” Governor Al-Makura stand tall among the elected Governors of the state in times of execution of projects that has direct impact on the lives of its citizenry.
