Hon Podar Promises To Return Plateau To Greatness If Elected In 2023

A former Governorship Candidate of the Congress of Progressive Change, CPC, in Plateau State in 2015, Hon Podar Johnson has said, he offered himself with the sole aim of bringing back the state on track towards promoting peaceful coexistence and also fostering unity, peace, and love among all the ethnic nationality residents here.

Johnson in an interview said if given the mandate I will make plateau great again all I want Plateau people to put their trust in me this is a new dawn.

We shall explore the business potential of mineral resources to create and decongest the state capital by creating headquarters in all three senatorial districts.

He explained further that Plateau state is blessed with deposits of solid minerals so the state can’t be over depending federal subvention to pay workers’ salaries.

He stressed that the state would partner with the private sectors to improve more on its revenue generation.

Adding, the state will develop its ten plate policy of forming a partnership with the private and individuals to create farms and enhance industry to deal with the issue of over-dependent on allocation from the federation.

Speaking more on the insecurity in Plateau state, Podar Johnson lamented the level of division witnessed in the state saying that whenever there is an attack, people would quickly ask whose persons or tribe is under attack so we are going to take a critical look at the issue of insecurity.

According to him, each of the senatorial districts has its own economic advantage, so government shall consider carefully how to implement policy drive on the new method of doing business to generate income so that each of zones shall be closer to governance.

Hon Johnson disclosed that if elected as the governor of Plateau come 2023, he has outlined some of the blueprint on revamping the Lafia  – Shendam road for easy transportation, Bokkos -Abuja, And Riyom -Abuja through railway and commercial.

He noted that as a civil servant you don’t need to be in Jos the state capital to perform your function so the government would perfect solution to reduce the problem of congestion here in Jos because when social amenities are cut across the three geopolitical zones people would be very happy.

He added, he would create a way of increasing the GDP and enhancing the revenue base of the state through the use of an effective and competent economic team.
