He appealed to the local authority to always intervene and provide urgent measures like security for firefighters when they are combating this sort of situation,”.

“It is sad, that the accident happened in the early hours, but nothing was done to evacuate properties of the victims, with no Clinic or the presence of medical equipment to aid those that sustained minor injuries.

“The damages caused have deprived affected families, their means of livelihood while they have recorded an irreparable loss of properties.

Hon.Nanbol Josiah Gommam also comforted the victims and assured them of his support through cash donation and 30 bundles of zinc to re-roof the destroyed houses.

He explained further that these communities don’t have access to quality drinking water, PHC centers, a training ground for skills acquisition, as he added that the communities are affected by a high rate of Internally Displaced Persons from the conflict that engulfed the southern zone.

Hon .Nanbol Gommam told our medium that the plight of vulnerable people encouraged his ambition to venture into the political arena to rescue the situation, he explained I trekked 30 km to attend school at Pil-Gani and did manual labour to pay fees.

Whenever I visit my village I usually see the unpalatable challenges of poverty, unemployment ravaging the people, and even sometimes going back to school was difficult, so I derive my desire to inspire more youths that there are hope and dignity in labour .
