Just about 30 minutes after President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan imposed state of emergency in Borno State alongside two other states due to the terrorist acts, the Bornu State Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN Secretary Reverend Faye Pama Musa was this evening shot dead by gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram inside his Maiduguri residence.
As gathered by Universalreporters from sources within the security operatives in the state, said that Musa who is also the pastor in charge of a Pentecostal church in Maiduguri was followed to his house in the GRA by two gunmen before killing him at close range as the killing occurred around 7:30 pm.
Meanwhile the Headquarters of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN also have confirmed the killing describing it as sad.
The Media aide to CAN National President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, Mr. Kenny Asaka, said the CAN President received the news with a heavy heart.
