PAYMENT OF N93.5M AS BACKLOG OF BURSARY ALLOWANCES FOR INDIGENTS STUDENTS

No doubt, Governor, Engr.Abdullahi Alhaji.Sule has fulfilled part of his inaugural speech on May 29th,2019 which he promised to effect changes in governance, the payment of backlog of N93,500,000,000M to Nasarawa State indigene Students from 2014,2015,2016,2017,2018 serves as a trajectory that the former Managing Director of Dangote Group of Company is on a rescue mission to salvage Nasarawa State of our dream.

 

This single act has restore the hope of students been deprived from the benevolence of the State Government over the years.

 

TO ADOPT CARROT AND STICK APPROACH TO ENHANCE CIVIL SERVICE

 

The pronouncement by Nasarawa State Governor to reward hardworking civil servants in the State is a litmus test of good things to come,

Engr.Abdullahi Alhaji Sule has promised to reward committed civil servants in the State through appraisal as well sanctioned lazy workers in the State.

 

The concerted effort to  reposition the state civil service to drive the economic development strategy to be put in place by the recently inaugurated state Investment and Economic Development Advisory Council is worthy of emulation. The Governor confirmed this after receiving the final report of the committee on restructuring government Ministries, Departments and Agencies at the seat of power, noting that the report of the committee will assist the Economic Advisory Council towards designing a strategy for the economic growth of the State as he maintained that his administration has reiterated its readiness to restructure and reinvigorate the civil service to improve efficiency and reduce redundancy as it was obtainable before.

 

Engr.Sule said the elimination of obvious overlaps and areas of conflicts between agencies and ministries form some of the bases that informed the committee’s report to advise on the need to trim some ministries and agencies. The approach is a modest form of arrangement that would restructure the state civil service, which is an essential factor in successful governance

 

The topmost priority of Engr.Sule to be feasible in 100 days is the setting up of the State Economic Management and Investment Advisory Council.

 

CONSTRUCTION OF 2 KILOMETERS OF SOLAR POWER STREET LIGHT IN THE 13 LOCAL GOVERNMENTS

 

The led administration also succeeded in the construction of two kilometers solar power street light in each of the 13 local government areas as well fastback the construction of Technology Innovation Hub in Lafia, Akwanga, Keffi and Karu.

 

YOUTH EMPOWERMENT

 

The fourth elected Governor of Nasarawa State under the platform of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress has promised to carry the youth along, his pronouncement of screening and training youth for small scale agricultural and trading enterprises in partnership with the apex bank, the Central Bank of Nigeria is about yielding results, this would go a long in reducing the rising spate of thuggery in the State capital.

 

RUNNING AN  ALL- INCLUSIVE GOVERNMENT

 

The Governor also promised to run an all-inclusive government and called on the people of the state, irrespective of religious, political or ethnic inclination to interface and work with the current administration for the sake of Nasarawa State, he  invited creme de la’ creme of the State devoid of party affiliation from the nook and cranny of the State to have a common ground that would foster unity and peace amongst the people of the State.

 

DONATED 100 SEWING AND GRINDING MACHINES TO VULNERABLE WOMEN

 

Few days after the assumption of office he donated 100 sewing and grinding machines to vulnerable women cut across the 13 Local Governments and Development Areas with the collaboration of the Nigerian Ports Authority.

 

HELD A MEETING WITH TRADITIONAL RULERS AND HEADS OF SECURITY AIMED AT FOSTERING PEACE AND TRANQUILITY

 

Governor Sule who considered the security of lives and properties as an integral part of every responsible Government summoned security meetings with traditional rulers and heads of security in the State few days after he take over the mantle of leadership of the “Home of Solid Minerals “He said his administration would accord priority to the security of lives and property of the citizens “this commitment by the number citizen has tackled insecurity in the State even before 100 days in office.

 

ENDED THE ONGOING COURT CASE BETWEEN PENSIONERS AND THE STATE GOVERNMENT

5,000 PEOPLE UNDERGO FREE EYE TREATMENT CONDUCTED BY GOV.SULE

 

No fewer than 5,000 people benefited from the free eye treatment embarked by the State Government, the free eye medical outreach cut across the three senatorial districts of the state.3,000 beneficiaries were given  eye glasses while over 2,000 received assorted medical eye drugs. Out of the 5,000 beneficiaries 209 people were operated of cataracts, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Ishaku Abari attested this to selected Journalists.

 

PAY HOSPITAL BILL WORTH N2M AS PART OF HIS SALLAH GIFT TO PATIENTS AT DASH

 

The surprised visit of the State Governor to Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, Lafia was full of fanfare as the Gudi born Engr. cum politician dole out money worth N2m for the settlement of hospital bills of patients lying at the State Tertiary health facility, though this was not part of his commitment when he assumed office on May,29th 2019

 

SOLD FERTILIZER AT THE TUNE OF N3, 500

 

In July 2019 history was made during the sale of fertilizer in Nasarawa State ,this can be described as the most cheap sales, as the Governor directed the committee saddled with the assignment to fear God by ensuring that farmers been the end users got the commodity at a subside rate.

 

FLAG-OFF TOILET FACILITIES,SOLAR LIGHTING BOREHOLES, BUILDING OF OFFICES FOR STAFF AND HEADS OF SCHOOLS

 

Governor Sule in a concerted effort towards addressing open defecation in public primary and Secondary schools in the State has laid foundation of the 26 classroom blocks under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) projects,the Chief Executive said the projects would include provision of offices for staff and head of schools, Solar lighting boreholes and toilet facilities. Engr.Sule averred that  his administration is determined to provide quality education.

 

SIGNS 400 CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY

 

Governor Abdullahi Alhaji.Sule succeeded in signing over 400 Certificate of Occupancy under the State Ministry of Land and Physical Planning, this would accord land owners the opportunity to acquire Land title from the Nasarawa Geographic Information System (NAGIS) in order to enable them access facilities from financial institutions and organisations, the Governor appointed a 9-Man committee to take over from Consultant running the affairs of NAGIS, Governor Sule during a visit to NAGIS office in Karu said in advanced economies land are not just kept but they are used as a collateral to access loans as well engaged in other businesses

 

He unveiled that the already mapping carried out by NAGIS would reduce and save cost of mapping by the State Ministry of Works. adding that the computerization would make it easier for the Ministry of Environment to obtain information easily.

 

PROMISED TO  END JUSUN 10 MONTHS OLD STRIKE

 

The Shendam road Government landlord barely three months in office have taking a frantic measure to curbed the prolonged strike embarked by the Nasarawa State chapter of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) ,the State Chairman, Jimoh Musa during a press conference at the Labour House shortly after the visit  of President of Nigeria Labour Congress,Ayuba Wabbah to Governor Abdullahi Alhaji.Sule at the seat of power maintained that the Chief Executive promised to Wade into the 10 months strike action.If the Governor succeeded in addressing the rumpus between JUSUN and the Chief Judge sky would be the starting point of mediation in all labour matters in the State.

 

FLAG-OFF OF FEEDER AND RURAL ROADS PROJECT IN OBI LOCAL GOVERNMENT

 

On the 2nd September,2019 Governor Sule flag-off road construction in Obi Local Government Area of the State, the construction work also reflect his inaugural covenant with the people of Nasarawa State,this a history in the making.

Governor Abdullahi A. Sule in fulfillment of the 100 days in office to train youth on brick production has commenced the process.
