Governor Douye Diri Meets With Representatives Of Host Communities Of Agip Oil Company From Twon Brass
“First I will like to say that this is more of a family meeting because Twon Brass and indeed Brass Local Government Area is a Local Government that the Government of Bayelsa will see as a leading Local Government. Therefore, if there appears to be a crack in that area, then something has to be urgently done to address it.
Protests are legitimate ways of calling the attention of the Government and others to issues and challenges, but when they now snowball into destruction and intimidation, then it is the duty of the Government to come in.
There is no price for Peace, I like to advise our Youths that no level of anger should let you to destruction. It is very easy to destroy but very difficult to build. You can express your anger to whoever, but do not destroy and terrorize.
So let us together, fashion the way forward and bring back that Peace Brass has been Enjoying over the years.
Henceforth, government will through the office of Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice be involved in all GMOUs in our communities.”
