Governor Al-Makura To Deal With Facebookers/Bloggers Spreading Hate Speeches

Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa state has warned bloggers and facebookers to desist from making emotional comments on social media or face arrest.

The governor stated this while addressing refugees in Keana Local government of the state to stop hate speeches that would aggravate public tension.

Warning on bloggers and facebookers and other users of social media like WHATTSAPP, TWITTER to desist or face prosecution.

He said the state government is ready to deal with people disrupting the ember of peace through the spread of falsehood and hate speeches in the social media.

Al-Makura said the state government would not condone any hate speeches or inflammatory statement capable of disrupting public peace in the state.

The governor said the spread of hate speeches would escalate crisis from neighbouring Benue state to Nasarawa state.

Calling on the people of Nasarawa state to emulate the traditional rulers of Keana, Tunga and Adudu for providing a favorable atmospher for IDP.

About 1,571 IDP’S are in Keana South primary school while 2,385 in Kertyo camp, Awe old Secretariat camp has about 61 IDP’s.

As at press time no authentic record of IDP’s in Tunga camp.
