Governor Al-Makura Swears in New Local Govt Bosses, Tasks Them On Probity, Accountability

Nasarawa State governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has tasked Council Bosses in the State to be prudent in the management of public account.

The governor stated this during the swearing-in of elected Local Government officials held at the the Government House, Lafia.

The Chief executive urged the thirteen Local Government chairmen to expand the frontiers of boosting their Internally Generated Revenue.

Governor Al-Makura appealed to newly Local Government Chairmen by ensuring the protection of lives and properties.

“I urged you to imbibe the spirit of social Justice, fairness to people within you catchment areas “.

The State governor expressed contentment over the recent unity and stability experienced between TIV’s and Fulani herders in the State.

Al-Makura promised to deal decisively with people casting aspersions as well fomenting crisis in the State.

He commanded the State Independent Electoral Commission for conduct a hitch-free Council poll.

The Chairman of Obi Local Government, Hon.Muhammed Iyimoga Oyigye on behalf of Council Chairmen commended the Chief executive for finding them worthy.

Oyigye drum support for governor Al-Makura represents Nasarawa South Senatorial zone come 2019.

“Your Excellency whether you like it or not you will represent us as our  Senator come 2019”.
