Nasarawa State governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has donated 40 units of sets of chairs and tables to pupils of Dunama Primary School Lafia.
The governor announced the donation during a visit to his Alma mater marking his 65th Birthday.
Al-Makura said the 40 units of chairs and tables to his former school would be extended to all public schools in the state.
“I’m optimistic that in no distance time the state government would make available furnitures for onward distribution to all schools”.
He called on the pupils to respect their teachers and prefects alike.
The governor however appealed to those with disabilities to remain focused, stating that there is ability in disability.
Urging the physically impaired to remain committed by facing their studies with seriousness.
The Chief Public Relations Officer, Baba Gana Lawal on behalf of the Executive Chairman of the Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board, Dan’azumi Mohammed confided that 13,000 sets of chairs and tables would be distributed to public schools.
