Gov Sule, Emir of Lafia, Sen Al-Makura Lauds Buhari For Citing Skill Development Centre In Nasarawa

The Chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari has described Nasarawa State as the political laboratory that brought President Muhammadu Buhari to the limelight as the President of the federal Republic after failed attempts to pilot the affairs of the country

Professor Ibrahim Gambari disclosed during the groundbreaking ceremony of the permanent site of Skill Development Centre, North-Central zone handle by the National Agency for Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Development Institute (AMED),Lafia

Ambassador Abdullahi Omaki who represented Professor Ibrahim Gambari added that Nasarawa state is dear to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Gambari asserted that the federal government will have a constructive partnership with Nasarawa state in terms of technology

Stating that the role of technology in the development of Nasarawa state cannot be overemphasize, her further explained that the federal government has cited two centres, one in Lafia and that will serve the north- central zone as well as Engineering and Science Integrated Laboratory, Keffi.

Ambassador Abdullahi Omaki said the president won’t let the state down, saying Nasarawa state been the laboratory that hatchet the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari will witness momentous innovation and interventions.

Nasarawa state governor during his speech appreciates president Buhari for his giant strides in the last three years.

“The institute is for the benefit of people in the North not Nasarawa state alone, he further explained that another bigger project will be cited in Akwanga local government Council”

Governor Abdullahi Sule opined that the concession manufacturing technology initiative if fully establish will create wealth

“Our administration in the state in a bid to enhance socio-economic development established the Nasarawa State Strategic Development Agency (NASIDA) “.

He however added that Dr Daniel Ewuga will take over as the head of Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Skills Acquisition Technology centre.

Governor Abdullahi Sule said the development of Nasarawa state will only be achieved through the development of Agricultural and Machinery Engineering to galvanize the development strategy of the state.

Similarly, the governor handed over the certificate of occupancy (CoO) and a key of a supervision and monitoring Vehicle to the agency.

The Chairman, Nasarawa State traditional Council, retired Justice Sidi Bagel commended president Muhammadu Buhari for beaming his searchlight on the state.

“Nasarawa State is ahead of Katsina , the president state in terms of projects executed under Buhari administration”.

Saying Nasarawa state deserved all the attention given to the state because Nasarawa is the political laboratory of the president.

Engineeér Ali Rabiu the president of Nigeria Society of Engineers (COREN) thanked the national agency for science and Engineering,as he said is the best that ever happened to Engineers in Nigeria.

He said COREN will continued to partner the agency, as he advised the federal government to patronize indigenous facilities to develop Nigeria.

The senate Nasarawa South senatorial district, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura commended the executive Vice Chairman Naseni for exhibiting practical presence of the agency

In addition opined that the state benefited a lot from 2011 to 2019 under his administration,he listed some of the benefits to include providing solar power to the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital (DASH).

Professor Mohammed Sani Mai walima said the interventions of the agency will be the use of technology in the area of food production, cultivation, weeding, food preservation, post-harvest and packaging which is collaboration between Czech republic and Nigeria.

He said the partnership was extended to food safety, create business for food and agriculture.

He commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for given them all the necessary support especially in the allocation of temporary site to the agency.
