Gov. Ganduje Of Kano State Flags Off The Launching Of 2017 Literacy Programme For 3500 Vigilante Members

Kano State Governor Umar Ganduje has flagged off the launching of 2017 literacy programme for 3500 vigilante members in Kano.

The programme which is intended to increase the literacy level among the vigilante members is also supported by the donation of books, bags, writing materials and other necessary materials for the smooth conduct of the exercise which was donated by the administration of Dr Ganduje.

In his remarks, the Governor stated that the vigilante are integral part of the security apparatus in the State and have aided the sustainability of the peace in Kano adding that he has directed that bank accounts be opened for them in order to ensure smooth payment of their allowances to enable them discharge their duties diligently, while also promising to look into the issue of their uniforms which they requested for better ones.
