Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir of Bauchi State donated ten million (10m), thirty (30) motorcycles to the Vigilantes group in Lere of Tafawa-Balewa local government area of the State.
The governor gave the money and the motorcycle to the vigilantes’ group in Lere district in Tafawa-Balewa local government area of the state for their doggedness as they rescued over twenty-eight victims from the hands of kidnappers in Lere Forest.
The governor commended the people of the area and Tafawa Balewa local Government area for supporting security agents in making efforts to nip security challenges in the bud.
Speaking during the visitation, the chairman Tafawa-Balewa local government area, Honorable Samaila Wakili Lere expressed his appreciation to Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for the donation so that criminal activities should be reduced in the area.
He said that the Lere district has spent consecutive 41 without living peacefully because of the bandits and kidnappers terrorizing the area.
The local government Chairman, Honorable Samaila Wakili pledged that the people of Tafawa-Balewa will remain loyal and supportive to the administration of Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir to enable him to deliver more dividends of democracy.
In his part, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Auwal Muhammad Musa said security agents would continue to support any community that is out to assist in the fight against criminality.
