The stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lere South, Tafawa-Balewa local government area of Bauchi State on Friday said that the construction of roads from Lere, Marti, Sara, Gambar, and Boi communities will reduce insecurity challenges in the zone.

In an exclusive interview with our correspondent, Babangida said that the construction of the roads will also improve their businesses.

He said that it has been a long that all the exist are without good roads and are always battling with bandits, armed robbery, Kidnappers, and other criminal activities in the areas.

Adding that criminals are taking advantage of no-good road to always attack the zone, but with this, everything will come to an end.

He further said that all the past governors of the state abandoned their zone, but with the doggedness of governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir during the third executive council meeting approved the construction of the 29km road with the sum of N11 billion.

Recalling that Governor Bala in the last two months visited the district palace of Lere to sympathize with the Kidnapped victims, while donated cash N10 billion, and providing vigilantes groups with thirty (30) motorcycles and other things to help and protect the lives and properties of the people in the area.

“Before we prefer to take our farm produce to sell in our neighboring Plateau State and get money than our own Bauchi State for lack of road, but with this latest development, we’ll be selling within the state”

Babangida advises the residents of the affected communities to support the government in all its activities for the development of the zone, Tafawa-Balewa local government, Bauchi State, and Nigeria at large.

Honorable Babangida Thomas Num promises to give massive support to the road constructors from the beginning of the work to the end.
