Gov. Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa state has called on the people of the state to embrace peace and tolerate one another at all times irrespective of ethnic, religious and political affiliation, Describing the death of Alhaji Mohammadu Chindo Yamusa II as a monumental loss, who is a rear gem in Keffi, Nasarawa state and the country at large.
Al-Makura stated this while briefing newsmen after the funeral rite of the late Emir of Keffi in Keffi local government area of the state, The Governor described the late monarch as workaholic, tireless and an emancipation of the people of Keffi emirate council and the state at large.
He said that the death of Yamusa II has created a vacuum that would not be filled easily ,Adding that his death was a great loss to the Emirate council, the entire state and the nation as a whole.
“Our Late Emir is a peace maker and bridge builder and he has also contributed a lot to the development of not only Keffi but to the state and the country at large, The news of the death of the late Emir was heartbreaking, painful but God gives life and takes at will”.
The state Governor urged the bereaved and the emirate council not to be depressed but to be courageous and have faith in God, And prayed God to grant the entire family and Keffi emirate council the fortitude to bear the loss.
