Governor Al-Makura Gave Reasons Why He Incorporated Traditional Institution Into The Machinery Of Nasarawa Govt

Nasarawa state governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has called on the traditional institution in the state to compliment state government effort to ensure rapid, even, prudent development of the state.

The governor stated this while administering the staff of office of the 15th Emir of Keffi, Dr.Shehu Chindo Yamusa, and the governor enjoined the Emir to shun favouritism, fairness.

Al-Makura further tasked the emir to be impartial, remain diligent and to shun ill-will in the discharge of his duty to Keffi emirate council, Nasarawa state and the country.

The governor said the synergy between the state government and the traditional institutions in the state assisted to a greater measure in addressing communal, ethnic and herders/farmers clash in the state.

He however affirmed that the cordial working relationship between the custodian of the people’s tradition spur the government of Nasarawa state to accord utmost attention to nagging issues affecting paramount rulers in the state.

“The synergy spurred  the government to embarked on the renovation and expansion of palaces, procurement of vehicles to traditional rulers as well enhance their welfare package as well creates additional chiefdoms”.

Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura described Dr.Shehu Chindo Yamusa as a personality worthy of the stool of his ancestor, saying his insignia to unite the people make him worthy of the position, he added.

The coronation witnessed the presence of creme de la’ creme from all walks of lives including three state governors of Benue, Sokoto and Plateau, while the traditional ruler of Borno ,Shehun Borno, his eminence, the sultan of Sokoto, Emir of Zamfara, Dutse, Fune and amongst others grace the occasion.
