The position of the state Governor was made available to Journalists by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Ahmed Tukur .
The Governor affirmed that the Model market with over 5000 shops is designed to ensure safety and easy access to facilities.
“The state Governor is aware of the difficulty faced by both traders and customers in the old market as a result of congestion and poor sanitary conditions and decided to relocate them to the new market”.
Al – Makura hopes that the International market will complement the new market presently occupied by traders and boast the economy and revenue generation of the state.
He commended the traders for their level of Maturity and understanding in complying with government’s directive to relocate to the new market.
He equally thanked various associations within the market for their effort in sensitizing their members.
