Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has stated that only Goats and rams exist in Local Government areas in Nasarawa, as he identified the local Government system in Nasarawa state as dead tier of Government.
He attributed the woos of the local Government system to monumental recklessness and indifference in the appointment of civil servants, saying the third tier of Government must undergo surgical operation to exist as a body.
The Governor also listed the bloated of workforce as a major constraint that bedeviled the existence of local Government in Nasarawa state, Al-Makura also faulted the existence of Development Area as the major preponderance militating against the payment of percent to workers.
He pointed Obi and amongst other local Governments as where few workforce are attentive to work as he said existing Development Areas have the highest number of workforce than their mother local Governments.
“Is an eyesore with the revelation that Lafia East Development have the highest workforce than Lafia,the mother local Government ,he disclosed that the scenario was extended to Lafia North and also Udegi ,Loko in Nasarawa local Government.
The Governor affirmed that the stoppage of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Economic Programme (SURE-P) and initiative of the then PDP Government fund to the local Government also constitute a hiccup to the payment of percentages to third tier of Government.
“Workers which constitute one percentage, political appointees take away 99.9 percent of state revenue .
Comment: Only the goats and ram, I think he is referring to christians in the state and nothing more.
What he said does not guaranteed him to labelled christians and muslims dominated state as such. Does it mean that he is governing goats and ram in the state. Governor of goats and ram.
Am from Nasarawa state, too. Even his family and unborn generation are the goats and ram living in the state. That is idiotic and foolish, frustrated governor.
Nasarawa state is nothing without the local LGAs, and since the chief executive officer on whose hand is the responsibility of managing the overall admistrative chores of the state says goats and rams are what he manages, then NASARAWA STATE IS A JOKE UNDER ALMAKURA’S WATCH. This is more than serious!!!
