Ahead of the 2023 Imo Governorship Election, the Chairman, National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Imo State Council, Hon.Comr. Sam Udeh, (Ezeumuokorobia), has called on the people of the state to massively go and obtain their respective Permanent Voter’s Cards,PVC’s, for sole sake of re-electing the Shared Prosperity Governor, Sen.Hope Uzodinma, for his second term in office as Governor.
That was the statement made by the Imo NURTW State Chairman, Comr.Udeh, last weekend, during an interaction with news men at his Owerri Council Office.
Speaking, Udeh said, ” I am truly advocating for the re-election process of Governor Uzodinma come 2023 because he has done very well. As you can see, the Governor (Onwa Oyoko) within his two years in office as the first citizen of Imo State, he has broken some negative jinks of underdevelopment in the state. For instance, on the area of roads construction, he has shown capacity”.
“The people of Imo State should collectively drum supports for the reemergence of the ‘Godsent’ Governor, Uzodinma. He is passionate to serve. Go to Owerri/Orlu Express Road, and to Owerri/Okigwe Express Road, and to so many other areas, where the obvious massive road constructions are going. We have no reason to encourage the Shared Prosperity Governor. When you talk about Prosperity, the Governor is busy Sharing Prosperity”, Udeh submitted.
Expressively speaking, the Imo NURTW Boss, Udeh, therefore recalled that he has earlier declared to all the motorists operating under the union what he tagged as “Operation Go and Get Your PVC’s” amongst unionists who are registered members of the union from across the 27 LGA’s of Imo State.
He said, “The declaration was clearly targeted at motivating members of the union to go and obtain your PVC’s for the sake of Uzodinma’s reelection in the next election”.
In his words of advise, the Imo NURTW State Chairman, Udeh, challenged all the members of the union under his watch to endeavour to go and grab their Voter’s Cards ahead of the next gubernatorial in Imo, even as he enjoined them no to relent in their bids towards voting in Uzodinma into power in 2023.
