Reports from ongoing reconciliation moves within the party revealed that the Ogunbiyi group made the demand during a meeting held from Thursday to Friday.
A source at the meeting said the Ogunbiyi group said they will ensure the destruction of the party unless the group is allowed to nominate the deputy governor and the Secretary to the State Government.
“The group was so emphatic that there can be no peace unless those two positions are ceded to it.It was a difficulty session. The Adeleke group while suing for peace advised against plot to destroy the party because of political positions.
“The representatives of the Adeleke group said it is ready for peace but not on term being demanded by the Ogunbiyi group”, the source said.
Investigations revealed that the Ogunbiyi group stormed out of the meeting vowing to pull down the party candidate and the PDP alongside.
It was not clear if the reconciliation meeting will be reconvened next week.
