The Chairman of Plateau State Traditional Council and the Gbong Gwom Jos, HRH, Da Jacob Gyang Buba, has tasked Nigerian politicians to end the insurgency, the incessant attacks, and killings of innocent citizens across the country.
Gyang Buba was speaking during the courtesy call on the traditional council in Plateau State by the newly appointed All Progressives Congress, APC, to the palace.
He expressed worry about the spate of attacks and killings of farmers in Nigeria by appealing to the political class to sheath their swords and promote peaceful coexistence.
Da Jacob Gyang Buba stressed that the country cannot continue to witness dastardly acts of destruction and poverty when the citizens continue to live in abject poverty and underdevelopment.
He appreciated the APC for appointing Prof. Nentawe as the National Chairman to pilot the party’s affairs to victory. We sincerely appreciate all of you, and we also thanked you at the Progressive Governors forum.
We assure you that at our level of traditional council, we give him overwhelming support for him to succeed.
In his appeal, Gbong Gwom Jos says that their concern is the stability of the country because this is what every political party promised to do, but the traditional council, at this moment, has pleased God to place the destiny of Nigeria as we shall account for now.
He stated that Nigerians are going through a lot, so please help Nigeria to go out of the challenges.
We are urging the president of Nigeria to put more effort that the security challenges, which are getting worse because various communities are buying their young and are not palpable from the northeast, northwest, north central, down to the south.
We appeal to the progressive governors to work with Mr President, to stabilize so that Nigerians can go back to their homes to farm.
Gyang Buba congratulated Prof Nentawe Yilwatda on his appointment as the National Chairman of the APC by saying the government should do something urgent to address the problem of religious leaders preaching hate speech.
