Ganye APC Stakeholders Passes Vote Of No Confidence On Party Chairman

All Progressives Congress stakeholders in Ganye Local Government Area of Adamawa have passed Vote of No Confidence on the local government party chairman, Mallam Jibrin Ali Ganjari.

The stakeholders who stormed the state party Secretariat in Yola to register their resolution accused the chairman of corrupt practices, indiscipline and anti-party activities.

Spokesman of the stakeholders Alhaji Adamu Ahmed said the chairman had diverted most of the bags of rice and sugar sent by the party for members during the just concluded Ramadan fasting.

Ahmed said the chairman also exhibited act of indiscipline by attempting to physically assault the lawmaker representing the area in the state assembly at the resident of the Deputy Governor in Ganye.

He said also that the chairman held secret meeting with members of the opposition in area.

“We are tired of him, he is destroying the party and something needs to be done if our party is to win the coming the approaching local government election in the state,” Ahmed said.

Receiving the stakeholders, the State Vice chairman of APC, Alhaji Mohammed Abdullahi, lauded them for the orderly conduct in presenting their grievance and assured them that the party would look into the matter.

Reacting to the development, the embattled chairman, Jibrin Ali Ganjari said the allegations were baseless.

Ganjari said that he did not divert rice and sugar but set up a committee to handle the disbursement.

Ganjari observed that why we’re the so called stakeholders singling him out for complain instead of his entire executive.

“My exco and entire ward chairmen that ought to know better are not complaining showing that the so called stakeholders have a hidden agenda or are doing a hatchet job,” Ganjari said.

He noted that his executive had met the state party executive to present their position.
