Piqued over the rising spate of killings by herders in Nasarawa State the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance ,Labaran Maku has called on the warring communities to bury their for the interest of Peace.
Maku who attributed the crisis to political undertone says Nasarawa is enough to accommodate grazers and farmers, adding that only 45 percent of lands are occupied by Fulani herders and Farmers.
The National Secretary of APGA hinted this while briefing members of the Correspondents ‘Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists.
Maku condemned the horrendous maiming, burning of houses abandoned by TIV’s Internally Displaced Persons in Awe, Doma ObiKeana, Lafia by herders.
“Nasarawa State is enough to accommodate us including non-Indigenes; in fact the ongoing war is not about space for grazing or farming, stating that the State is brimming with IDP’s.
