Fresh Attack In Irigwe Land Of Plateau, 3 Confirmed Dead

The former President of Irigwe Youth , Comrade Chinge Ayuba Dodo has disclosed that no fewer than 3 persons of  Irigwe extraction were gunned down by unknown persons at Adu village of Kwal district of Irigwe chiefdom of Bassa Local Government Area.

According to him, the attack took place at Vom junction of Kwal, yesterday, Saturday after the peaceful APC primary in Rukuba they suspected bandits threaten to attack Maiyanga village this morning residents are living in fear and panic.

Ayuba told our correspondent that it is quite worrisome that the series of constant attacks on their communities had brought hardship and uncertainty to people that are producing dry season crops.

He said, what we want now is total peace because our people are living in fear and panic which already affecting agricultural production, especially the dry season.

Chinge Ayuba expressed sadness that the situation had created a looming threat of hunger and starvation in the land because during this period you would see our women selling yams, sweet potatoes, green leafs others.

He appealed that the people are afraid of going to farm since the dastardly attacks and killings continued unabated considering the beginning of the upheaval no meaningful arrest of the perpetrators of this heinous crime.

Chinge Ayuba reiterated that as leaders of the communities they are tired of providing a solution to the end of the whole thing because the government knows its primary responsibility of protection of lives properties so they should wake up to their responsibility.

Worried about the rate of crime and criminality in Jenta Adam ward of Jos North Local Government Council suburb of Plateau State capital, Chief Kabala John appealed to the state government to provide a police outpost to help curtailed incessant attacks and reduce the activities of miscreants snatching people cellphone every evening.

He stressed that the community is a host to Plateau State command but the rate of crime and criminality perpetuated is very high causing sleeplessness night to the residents.

This medium gathered that a group of armed young men attacked one Danjuma Revu at his residence in Jenta Mangoro demanding his cell phone but he told them he don’t have one.

As they were about to leave one of them shot him at close range with a bullet piercing through his skull, but the neighbors came out and rescue him by rushing him Jankwano , Bingham Hospital for treatment and he survived the operation.

An eyewitness explained that they sighted a group of youths armed with weapons approaching them so they took their heel and escape, but Danjuma Revo wasn’t aware that someone was coming behind until they unleashed terror on him.

However, there was tension in Irigwe chiefdom on Saturday when information reached them of pending attacks.

The Police PRO, DSP Ubah confirmed the killing of 3 persons in Kwal district, but said security is on the trail of the culprits.
