Free Medical Outreach To Sabo Layi, -Dr Bala Seeks Govt Intervention

About Fifteen medical practitioners with other medical practitioners of Concerned Jos Youth Association COJOYA team Chairman, Dr Ahmad Sani Bala has embarked on free medical outreach to screen women, children and ages on various ailments ranging from 1000 beneficiaries.

 

Dr Bala stated during the medical outreach held at Sabo Layi community of Jos North Local Government Area, LGA, of Plateau State on Saturday.

 

The concerned Jos South Association COJOYA disclosed that in an effort to reach out to the less privilege ones in the society by sensitizing them on knowing their health status which is burnt out of desire to promote healthy living, he added.

 

Bala stressed out that they came out with program annual medical outreach to residents of Jos North and this year we decide to bring it here to sabo layi provide the medical attention to 1000 People’s but as you can see the population that  avail themselves are more than what we expected.

 

According to him, this morning we have screen over 554 women, children and the old persons, while some of the minor sicknesses are treated here with drugs such as malaria hepatitis test including the children.

 

The secretary of COJOYA said the Sabo Layi, Alh Sadiq Umar Sabo said their medical intervention is aimed at touching the lives of people especially women and children including the old ones by impacting positively.

 

He noted that the program treatment is for those suffering from different ailments and if they discover strength diseases that can’t be treated here they would give them referral letter to government hospital or private hospital.

 

Sabo decried the absence of government present in their community with deplorable roads linking up the only dilapidated public school in the area without any public health care unit to take care of the sick.

 

Also Ismaila Aliyu Entifa Gamji called on the Plateau State and federal government to kindly consider the plight of women, children who are suffering from various communicable diseases and non-communicable ones.

 

He thanked God mighty Allah who have protected these youths who have deem it’s necessary to contribute from their resources to help them with medical outreach.

 

Aliyu told journalists that the exercise is welcome development to the area seeing medical practitioners coming with ideas of providing them with drugs and treating them on different types of sickness.

 

They team of the selfless individuals who storm this community and  are giving drugs to down trodden is what has never happened before in the history of the state, but to us they are our children and we pray for them to employ for serve humanity.
