Corpses of the four Mada youths brutally shot to death by people identified to be hired soldiers by the former commissioner of youth and Sports ,Pastor Daniel Ogazi during the All Progressives Congress in Garaku, The headquarter of Kokona Local Government has been laid to rest.
The remains of blood brothers Sabo Soya and Samaila Soya from Amba, Others are Murtala Maikasuwa Godiya Anthony from Koree , Amba has been laid to rest yesterday respectively, While 7 others that sustain degree of wound from a gunshot were admitted at undisclosed hospitals, The youths met their untimely death while protesting their exclusion from participating in the party primaries.
The primaries turn bloody as Daniel Ogazi, a delegate from Kokona said the APC chairman of the area willingly excluded other delegates by denying them their Identity cards and tag which he continued, is the only pass that will enable access to the venue of the fenced primary school.
“We have been waiting for over an hour but we were not allowed into the venue of the election as the party chairman of Kokona directed police and Civil Defense not to allow us into the arena, when asked about our I.D cards and tag he said he forgot it at his country home”.
He added, “But to our surprises few minute later two army Hilux van and busses conveying delegate arrived the venue of the election all in white garments, They were all allow into the venue ,This foist some of us to asked question in a twinkle of an eye four youth were shot to death while 7 persons were casualties.
In a related development, Mada Development Association has called on the state executive of the party to as matter of urgency disqualified Pastor, Daniel Ogazi from contesting for House of Assembly under the party in 2015 election.
In a statement made available to reporters, The Association are battle ready to fight the governorship aspirant of the party in next year election if no serious action is taking against the man of God for hiring soldiers to unleashed terror to unharmed party men.
The Association also called on the state executive of the party to called the party chairman of Kokona Local Government to answer vital questions surrounding the death of the youth and why they were not given their tag and I.D cards as when due.
Some of the youth interview threatened for a reprisal attack if the winner of the primary was recognized as the sole candidate of the APC, “No aspirant of APC will come and campaign to us after killing our brothers “The youth protested.
Ugochukwu Theodore,The Police Public Relation Officer in a telephone interview affirmed that people in army uniforms fired gun shot at the venue of the primaries but no death was recorded, He further confirmed that scores sustained severe injuries.
The fate of the party hang on the balance as similar cases of unhealthy relationship surface between aspirants, delegates and party executives at their locality, only time shall tell.
