Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, has lost his mother, Alhaja Monsurat Bankole, who died on Friday.
This was announced in a statement issued in a Facebook post by the Office of Ogun state Consultant on Islamic Affairs.
According to the statement signed by Hadj Lawal Abu Mordiyah, Alhaja Monsurat died the age of 78 Years.
Prior to her death, she was the Iya Adini of Egba Land.
She will be buried according to Islamic injunction immediately after Solatul-Asr today in her husband’s residence at Onikoko, Abeokuta.
Dimeji Bankole served as the 11th Speaker of House of Representatives at the age of 37, making him the youngest lawmaker to ever attain the position.
