Frowned with the disloyalty shown during the just concluded Sallah celebrations, the Emir of Gumel in Jigawa state Alhaji Ahmed Muhammad Sani has suspended seven district heads in his domain for their refusal to participate in the Durbar festivities.
The Emir revealed this in a statement yesterday described the attitude of the embattled district heads as an act of insubordination which will not be tolerated.
Alhaji Ahmed Sani therefore directed that seven title holders be assigned to act as the district heads pending when their case was determined by the Emirate council.
He also directed the Council to Institute an investigation committee saddled with the responsibility of finding out why the district heads failed to participate in the just concluded Sallah festivities held at the Gumel Palace and make recommendations on the next line of action against them.
Emir Sani called on his subjects to be law abiding citizens and congratulated them for successful completions of the Ramadan fasting and advised them to sustain the lesson of the they have learn t during the Ramadan fasting.
