Fintiri Approves Reopening Of Sa’adatu College, Issues Ultimatum To Other Health Institutions In Adamawa

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved the reopening of Sa’adatu College of Health Technology, Mubi, following a comprehensive review conducted by the Committee on the Establishment of Private Colleges of Health Technology.
In a decisive move to strengthen the quality of healthcare education in the state, Governor Fintiri also issued a 6 to 12-month deadline to eight other private colleges of health technology, directing them to upgrade their infrastructure, staffing, and accreditation status in order to qualify for reopening.
The directive was contained in a statement issued by Humwashi Wonosikou, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, the affected institutions include:

School of Health Technology, Jimeta
NAFAN College of Health Science and Technology, Jimeta
School of Health Technology, Mayo Belwa
Humanity College of Health Science and Technology, Hong

EYN Brethren College of Health Technology, Garkida
Meanwhile, the state government has ordered that 15 private colleges of health technology remain closed after failing to meet the minimum operational and academic standards. These institutions include:

Governor Fintiri emphasized that adherence to regulatory guidelines is critical to producing competent healthcare professionals. He urged all affected institutions to comply with the committee’s recommendations and meet the prescribed standards.
“The state will not compromise on the quality of healthcare education. Institutions must meet the benchmarks required for effective training and service delivery in the health sector,” the governor stated.
He also directed the Ministry of Health and Human Services to conduct a final verification exercise before granting any further approvals for reopening
