Federal Road Maintenance Agency Embarks On Massive Road Rehabilitation In Jos

FermaThe Federal Road Maintenance Agency has embarked on a massive nationwide intervention on critical roads within Plateau State.

The Field office Jos, through its State Controller, Engr. Murtala Aderemi Sallam, made this disclosure in a press statement available to the media on Wednesday in Jos.

The controller in his statement explained that ,in line with its objectives is currently working along Jos-Gimi road from km 22+000 at Mararaban-jama’a to km50+000 near Hawan Kibo where the section had been recovered of dangerous potholes.

However, motorists have already expressed their satisfaction and are calling on the Federal Government to release more funds to the agency to continue with the good work up to Gimi(Forest).

Meanwhile, the Agency Office in Jos, has also just repaired and reinstated a washout/erosion problem at a bridge located at km19+940 along Langtang-Lalin-Shendam, which is just one among other similar location of the roads.

Aderemi Sallam pointed out many deplorable roads in the state would be given adequate attention and rehabilitated to meet engineering standard.

According to him, Plateau branch will focus on areas where erosion caused havoc by causing unnecessary accident along major roads in the state.
