Following the recent killings trending at the Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri, by some alleged members of different cults rivals and the allegations bordering from the accusations levelled against some prominent persons in Owerri West, the Executive Chairman of Owerri West Local Govt. Council Chairman, Hon.Anthony Chidi Ordu, aka Maduka,in Owerri on Thursday,28th March 2019,called on the police and other security agencies in the state to ensure that those involved as cults in killings of innocent people faced the wrath of the law of the land.
In his words, while addressing members of the news media at his Nekede residence, the Owerri West LGA Council Boss, Hon.Madouka as popularly called and addressed by his political supported and lovers, expressed dissatisfaction over the allegations levelled against him from some of the persons arrested by the police in Imo State as suspects, parades by the Imo State Police Command last Wed, 27th March,2019 in Owerri.
“Working for me as in cultism. I did not send any person (youths, students at the Federal Polytechnic) to go and kill for me. I am a core Christian. Anybody found guilty and involved in the killings, should be arrested and charge to court. I am not supporting any killing of innocent person(s) at Nekede Polytechnic and its environs. My message to the people of Owerri West especially to the youths is to be very careful and shun any act or activities capable of truncating their lives in future. I am a God fearing man and as such, I can even support evil at my level, contacts and exposures”, he submitted.
The Owerri West LGA Elected Councill Chairman, Hon.Anthony Ordu, therefore condemned the actions of one Mr.Martin Iwuagwu, who is a native of his kindred, for indicting him as a sponsor of those evil guys arrested by the police over the killings recently at the Federal Polytechnic.
The LGA Chairman of Owerri West, however enjoined the security agencies to ensure that those involved in the activities of killings are brought to book for the sake of justice, even as he charged the police to drag those involved into cultism to court.
