Alleged Road Contract: Okorocha Didn’t Award Any To Me, Says Owerri West LG Chairman

Dan Opara

The Executive Chairman of Owerri West LGA Council in  Imo State,Hon.Chidi Ordu, aka Madoka,on Wednesday April 24th 2019,has vehemently refuted the allegation levelled against his company (Madoka Global Services Ltd.) that the Imo State Governor,Rochas Okorocha, awarded a road contract.

He made the rebuttal following the recent publication made last Saturday,April 20th 2019,by the publishers of the  Daily Sun Newspaper on page 39,with the caption: ” Ihedioha wrestles Okorocha in Imo”.

Madoka who was fielding questions from newsmen, insisted that Gov.Okorocha did not give or award any kind of road contract to him, rather that he is very much aware as the LGA Chairman that a road contract was awarded to one Company known as PA Consult Nigeria Ltd.,as part implementing the ” Operation Zero Pot Hole Policy” of the State Governor, even as he (Madoka) revealed that the Contractor (PA Consult) have done the work and that he  expected the job to be done as the Chief Security Officer of Owerri West LGA.

Madoka however restated that the Governor did not give me any road contract.

“The construction of No.1 Nekede Road was awarded to me by anybody. I was not given any contract from the Imo State Governor”,Madoka submitted.

He called on the people of Owerri West and the residence of Nekede especially those along the No.1 axis to disregard such false media publication from his political detractors who does want his growth, but promised to serve, protect the lives and properties of the people of the area.
