Two documents available to Universal Reporters reveals the shabby deal of how the outgoing Executive Chairman of Doma Local Government,Arc.Ahmed Sarki Usman allegedly swindle a whooping N130,000,000 million meant for the purchased of Local palliative to the tune of N75, 000,000 Million.Universal Reporters can confirmed that document for none existing N45, 000,000m for the procurement of relief materials for onward distribution to the devastated beneficiaries from Ekye.
The headquarter of Doma South constituency comprises of Rukubi, Agbashi,Akpanaja, Doka and electoral wards was made available by an aggrieved adviser to the Chairman.
The two documents are an attestation of the release of the huge amount by the power that be , But the materials are yet to reach the target persons, The papers were signed by the Chairman whose tenure expires on October 7th, 2024.Other signatories to the available records are Ose Osagede and Ahmed Adagyo respectively,In the N75m Local palliative,
The elected Councillor of Agbashi, Rukubi Akpanaja vehemently affirmed that they are not aware of the Local intervention and relief materials meant to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal by the Federal Government and relief materials to the tune of N45m.The Councillors appealed to the State Government to as matter of urgency set up a panel of inquiry to investigate the allegation leveled against the Chairman.
The foodstuff procured by the Local Government Chairman was dated 28, February, 2024.The items procured from the largesse include 200 cartons of maggie which indicates N50, 000 x 200=N10,000,000m.Other items procured are 400 cartoons of Indomie which cost N11,000,000m,300 bags of 15kg beans which cost N20, 000 each was estimated to the tune of N6,000,000m.Also 80 bags of rice was estimated to cost N30,000 x 800=N24,000,000m.
The document has show that the Executive Chairman expanded N600,000 for transportation,loading and off-loading of the said items.While for the relief materials, Elected Councillors from the Doma South constituency said the relief materials are yet to get to the end users especially those affected in flood disaster.
The N45,000,000m relief materials was to complement the effort of the Federal Government under the National Emergency Management Agency.Recalled that sometimes this year, The relief materials from the National Emergency Management Agency were diverted by people identified to be foot soldiers of the outgoing Chairman whose tenure will expire on 7,October 2024.The beneficiaries of materials such as sewing machines, generators, pumping machines with vast of beneficiaries sideline during the last NEMA distribution of items including bags of maize which lead to the arrest of some Local Government officials in charge of store.No fewer than 60 bags of maize was said to have been missing.
The Chairman when contacted said the documents are a true reflection of items procured by the N130,000,000m .”I have the documents of every transaction made from the day I assumed office up to this period,He disclosed.
