Feelers from the school revealed that only recently, the only functional 18 seater vehicle belonging to the school was intercepted by High court 4 sitting in Lafia, the Nasarawa State headquarters.

The ten years old school has been in serious financial hiccups ranging from debt owned by food vendors and contractors handling projects in the school for the past five years.

The interception of the 18 Bus seater has come and gone but the dust raised is yet to settle as some Parents and Guardian alike are saying kidnappers abducted their children, this affected the enrollment of the school within the shortest time.

Again Vice Principal of the College, it was gathered was also whisked away by security agents over a debt incurred by the then management and was later on released through the swift intervention of the His Royal Highness, the Andoma of Doma, Alhaji Ahmadu Aliyu Ogah to quell the situation.

Insiders who spoke to our reporter attributed the financial scandal of the school to the nonchalant attitude of the Bursar, Eugene Okoye who it was alleged was the major constraint to the school.

Insiders hinted that the Bursar conduct activities of his office without due process, it was learnt that most of the running of the College did meet up with financial regulations.

The ugly situation lead to the transfer of eight Principals in 10 years of the existence of the College, as some staff identified the former Principal, Mr.Odewale and the Bursar, Eugene Okoye as those milking the College dried.

Feelers from the College appealed to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education to probe the school management over the ongoing contract awarded for the building of staff quarters in the College, It was gathered that the contract was awarded for the building of 2 bedroom apartment as against the ongoing 1 bedroom apartment currently at roofing stage.

The Principal of the College, Haruna Emmanuel it was learnt takes over from his predecessor when the school was at the verge of collapsing.

Haruna declined any comment as he directed our Correspondent to the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, saying he was not permitted to speak to Journalists.

The Chairman of the College, Mr.Patric Ogah in an exclusive interview also confirmed that the problems of the College are as old as the College as he commended the present Principal for bringing new lease of life to the School.

Ogah called on the Federal Government to rescue the College from collapsing as he attributed some of the nagging challenges to the dwindling population of students.

“The enrollment is going down the drain due to some problems which he referred to acute shortage of English and Mathematics Teachers”.

Other hiccups also include absence of standard workshop, saying the school has only one functional workshop as against the four proposed workshops with facilities.

“As a Federal Science and Technical College only Physic workshop that is functional, while Biology, Chemistry and Agriculture has no workshops at all”.

Another major challenge of the College, according to Patrick Ogah was lack of access road linking FSTC and Doma town, adding that the Federal Government must do something to save the road and dilapidated culvert from total collapse during heavy downpour.
