Exposed: How APC Wards Chairmen And Stakeholders  Langtang North LRejected 18 Wards Councilors’ Impeachment Plan Against Barr.Zulfa

Yakubu Busari

Eighteen (18) Councilors in Langtang North Local Government Council have been accused to have been bribed allegedly to impeach Barr Zulfa Rimven.

However, the All-Progressives Congress, APC, chairmen in Langtang North LGA have rejected the impeachment saga by calling on the state government and Plateau state House of Assembly members not to honor the illegal/ kangaroo and political blackmail in Tarok land.

The Elders also frowned and condemned vehemently how the  18 wards councilors are being sponsored by the People Democratic Party , PDP, to impeachment  Barr.Zulfa Rimven .

According to them, the channel of communication for them to commence the impeachment of Zulfa was not explored by the party councilors before embarking on the said impeached processes.

The spokesman of the group, Hon,Nandom Napdon disclosed that the wards’ Chairmen were taken to Tim -Tali Motel around Pa-Jat in Langtang North and were alleged to be bribed with money that was shared amongst them for the shoddy deals.

He stated that, as party men and women who are all loyal to APC , we are not in support of the decision of the wards chairmen who have refused to consult widely before taking the drastic impeachment processes.

“you will not act outside our  constitution but be assured that the impeachment process is null and void  .”

The Taroh Elders   Forum also rejected the verdict of the 18  wards chairmen members’ allegations of gross misconduct leveled against Council Chairman,Barr.Zulfa Rimven  of which the lawmakers also insisted they would remove the Chairman from office.

The secret impeachment which took place at Tim-Tali Motel on   Tuesday cleared the Chairman off from all the charges because due process was not observed.

The Elders said that the wards chairmen had earlier expressed reservations to write the council over the composition of the way and manner they were misled and therefore, we can recognize any decision taken by them.

“We want to bring to the notice of Nigerians that the APC, from Tarok and  Elders totally dissociates themselves from impeachment which is an  internal mechanism to be settled not  from the decision reached by wards purported agenda of PDP “

“As far as we are concerned, the Chairman is yet to be exonerated of charges leveled against him; we are not going to accept that impeachment decision because the matter is a constitution and wards chairmen failed woefully to explore internal settlement ” .

“We won’t take their firm position on this matter, but in due course, we appeal to them to follow the constitution of the party; they shouldn’t act outside the constitution of APC  but be assured that the impeachment process is not on the course,” Napdon explains.

He alleged that the actions and activities of the Councillors were illegal and a gross violation of the constitution of the party.

According to Hon Napdon , some people want to “cook and eat the law” and it will not be accepted.
