Ex-Supporters Of Bauchi APC Chairmanship Aspirant, Sanin Malam Calls For His Expulsion Over Anti Party

Angered by his decision to file a court case against his party, ex-supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship aspirant in Bauchi state, Alhaji Sani Shehu alias ‘Sanin Malam’ have called for his expulsion from the party.

 

The former supporters of the party chairmanship aspirant who expressed dismay over the incident said Sanin Malam did not bother to consult them before taking the action.

 

Universal Reporters gathered that Sanin Malam sued his party, the All Progressives Congress APC as a result of the outcome of the last wards congresses where the party caretaker committee opted for consensus.

 

The supporters while addressing journalists in Bauchi on Wednesday, opened that ordinarily, they have the obligation to enquire as to why the aspirant who is their principal singlehandedly took such a decision without seeking their inputs.

 

The supporters who were led by Sanin Malam’s ex director of media, Aminu Tura and Public Relations Officer Bello Bature Bakaro wondered why their principal took such indiscreet action without consulting widely with them who had participated in the congress on his instance and knowledge.

 

“Alhaji Sani Shehu has attended Rahama Suites stakeholders’ meeting where unanimously, the party agreed to hold the congress via consensus”, the group said.

 

Adding that, “to this effect, we wish to state in clear terms that the said court suit instituted by Sanin Malam is a deliberate attempt to ridicule and plunge the party into the pool of political turmoil”.

 

While dissociating themselves from Sanin Malam, the ex-supporters urged the national leadership of the party to expel him saying they have reservations on his loyalty.

 

They recalled that the APC chieftain allegedly campaigned openly for the current state governor Bala Mohammed of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 election, adding that by dragging the party to court is an indication that he had not repented genuinely.
