Ex-Min Of Sports, Solomon Dalung Lambasts Self, Says, “We Never Promised Kidnapping, Hunger, Corruption

The Social Democratic Party, (SDP) Candidate for Langtang North and South Federal Constituency, a former minister of Sports, Dalung Solomon, has lambasted himself as he said to  Nigerians, “I am guilty because I am a founding member of APC. We never in 2015 promised Nigerians that they will be Kidnapped and sold in the forest like animals, we never promised Nigerians that would appoint a central Bank Governor who would suddenly run away from the and hide. We never ever promised Nigerians that would set up a government that would be fighting itself, demonstrators in front of the State House against the Central Bank Governor, and then demonstrators in front of the Central Bank in favour of the Central Bank Governor. We never promised Nigerians this.

He maintained that the APC government has brought in abysmal performance and distortion of our national polity because the 8 years of APC introduced the worst that ever happened to this country.

Dalung stated this during an interview in Jos on Monday.

He stressed that there is no national cohesion for the very foundation of our politics and democracy, yet political actors have all developed a street mentality and are pretending as if all is well with us.

We could see the country; I mean running very fast into the hardest yet we are pretending as if we are running a transition. The characters of the main actors have left multiculturalism and diversity under attack because this transition has attacked our diversity, our sanity, and our multiculturalism.

This same transition is present with some most controversial political figures that ever vie for the office of President of Nigeria and; the PDP which started the zoning in 1999, in this same transition introduced confusion, and abandoned the zoning without even explanation. So, they set the tone for confusion in this same transition.

We never promised Nigerians that hunger would be replaced with diseases because hunger kills more than any malaria In Nigeria, we didn’t promise this. We never promised Nigerians that corruption is going to be pontificated to replace religion, we never did this.

Today corruption in Nigeria is the first religion of politicians and the APC Government before, no wonder the Accountant General of the Federation in one transaction stole, One hundred and nine billion Naira and goes to court with smiles, looking at people and he was laughing because he has what it takes to buy everybody.

Do you think APC can get 40 million votes from Nigerians in the 2023 elections?

It is a mere Imagination! Forget about this political campaign of jamboree of the rented crowd, it will not translate into voting in the 2023 elections because Nigerians are wiser and smart now. You call people now even if you’re not contesting and Nigerians understood that you have been bought by one politician they will not troop there because they now realize that to disarm the wicked, you must first take the weapon from him.

Nigerians are concerned about what would translate into development is not about Agbada of people marauding the political landscape as candidates. Go and look at the political rally, those who are in the PDP are the same people in APC because is a share of the National cake. Wait for 25th February 2023 you will be up to a very big surprise because nobody is going to win this election. In the first run, the winner is not going to emerge.

The second ballot is very, very, imminent because the APC with its abysmal performance is busy with contradictions to the elections. The PDP having spent 16 years had a lot of money playing with it.

The Obi angle, Obi is the reaction to the introduction of the same faith ticket by APC.

Now the popularity of Obi is built on this factor; there are also reactionaries like Obi who are in that movement. There are genuine Nigerians who believe in the unity of this country they are supporting Obi from the North and from the South.

There are revolutionary politicians like us who think that okay having been sound-witch by two devils and ahead of you is the deep blue sea would you learn how to swim now that you don’t have a jacket? So, this is the scenario we found ourselves and many people are jumping.

So, Obi’s movement is going to checkmate the emergence of the winner in the first run.

And Kwankwaso is also helping because of the votes Kwankwaso is taking, Kwankwaso is taking votes from PDP because he has been there, is taking APC votes, and is building.

So these 40 million votes you talking about have been mutilated into the equation of these four runners being projected. But I see a President of Nigeria emerging as a dark horse.

On chances of SDP in the 2023 elections

A very good player who has not been featured by the Coach for a very long time but is already warming up now, since the match appears to be a reinstalment and time running up. So, the SDP is jumping by the touchline warming up and once the SDP has been introduced, you would hear a goal, and that is when the audience and supporters will be jubilating.

So, SDP is the political party to watch. And I speak scientifically, SDP is nowhere in Nigeria but came second in Ekiti State Government election. Defeated PDP and came second.

So, SDP is working underground. Is not into renting of the crowd, no but we’re engaging community leaders and it has been fruitful because we tested it in Ekiti and it yield a result.

While in Osun State, we have a candidate that is not strong. So instead of spending and wasting our money on the campaign, we introduced what is called a campaign of anti-votes buying. And what do we do, we targeted those who were carrying money?
