Engr. Daniel Kadzai, Northern Youth Christian Leader Congratulates New Service Chiefs

The Congress of Northern Nigeria Christians (CNNC), National Youth Leader, Engr. Daniel Kadzai has congratulated the new Service Chiefs appointed on Monday by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying that the officers are well chosen to deal with the nation’s insecurity challenges.

The former National President, of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), also said that the new Chiefs have served their various security units with diligence, have attended requisite courses that made them combatant ready to deal with the insurgency, crisis, banditry that has befallen the country.

“I congratulate President Bola Tinubu for carefully choosing these ones to lead the nation’s army”, Kadzai said in a statement he personally signed and made available to our correspondent on Wednesday.

He said the country, especially the northeast has suffered untold hardship cursed by insurgents, with many displaced and are now living in refugee camps across the country, adding that if this is addressed, the new Generals will write their names in gold.

“I, therefore, congratulate and convey my best wishes to them, and hope they will satisfy the yearnings of Nigerians.

“Let me place on record that their appointment is a testament and manifest commitment of a renewed hope in the administration of Mr. President in removing barriers that create disparities in nation-building.

“The balance in their appointment also shows unity, equity, fairness, and justice.

“This is indeed a demonstration of the strong character and reflection of the refreshing candor of the person and leadership of our dear President whose abiding love for the unity and progress of our Nation is unusual”, he said.

Kadzai, however, urged the new Service Chiefs to “be loyal and dedicated in the discharge of their responsibilities”.

It would be recalled that President Tinubu, on Monday retired Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Farouk Yahaya; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao; Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, and Comptroller of Customs, Col Hameed Ali, retd., among others.

He appointed new once as thus: Mallam Nuhu Ribadu- National Security Adviser, Maj-Gen. C.G Musa- Chief of Defence Staff, Maj-Gen. T. A Lagbaja, Chief of Army Staff, Rear Admiral E. A Ogalla- Chief of Naval Staff, AVM H.B Abubakar- Chief of Air Staff, DIG Kayode Egbetokun, Acting Inspector-General of Police and Maj-Gen. EPA Undiandeye- Chief of Defense Intelligence, etc.
