The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, the suspended South-West zonal coordinator of the women wing of the City Boy Movement, over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence.
Tejuosho, who had been declared wanted by the anti-graft agency in connection with an ongoing fraud investigation, was arrested on September 8, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed on Saturday.
“She is in our custody,” Oyewale said.
The arrest comes months after the commission declared Tejuosho wanted over allegations that she obtained money from individuals under false pretences.
In April, the EFCC identified Tejuosho, 41, as a wanted person in connection with an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence.
The commission said she was an indigene of Lagos State and listed her last known address as House A26, Aso Grove Estate, Maitama Extension, Abuja.
At the time, the EFCC appealed to members of the public with information about her whereabouts to contact its offices nationwide, the nearest police station or other security agencies.
Tejuosho had earlier been questioned by the EFCC in June 2025 following complaints over an alleged scheme involving federal government appointments and contracts.
According to the commission, the investigation focused on allegations that she collected money from individuals after claiming she could facilitate government appointments and secure lucrative contracts for them.
She was also accused of using purported appointment letters and other forged documents to convince alleged victims that she had the capacity to secure government positions and contracts.
Tejuosho, identified as the founder of Haleems Integrated Services Limited, was subsequently granted administrative bail as the investigation continued.
Her latest arrest followed the EFCC’s April declaration and has brought her case back into focus as the commission continues its investigation.
Following the declaration, the City Boy Movement suspended Tejuosho from her position as its South-West zonal coordinator of the women wing.
The group said the suspension took immediate effect and would remain in place pending the outcome of the investigation.
The movement described the decision as an administrative measure aimed at protecting its image, credibility and ethical standards.
It also said the suspension was intended to allow the investigation to proceed “without interference, obstruction, or undue influence”.
The City Boy Movement is a youth-driven political advocacy group that supports President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
