Kemi Nshe, Hon.Bature POs Stall continuation of hearing of Yilmiap Kenneth and Kim Titus Suits

The scheduled hearing of a suit filed by Hon.Yilmiap Kenneth Dennis and Amb. Kim Titus Danja all of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Friday has failed to continue at the Plateau State High Court sitting in Jos Division .

Mr Yilmiap Kenneth and Kim Titus Danja are seeking to restrain Comrade Kemi Nshe and Hon Sati Shuwa Bature from parading themselves as the Executive Chairmen of Shendam and Riyom LGAs.

The two aspirants are dissatisfied with the outcome of primaries held in Shendam and Riyom LGAs which they told the trial court that the exercise didn’t take place in Shendam LGA because the delegates lists was doctored.

“You recalled that the National Working Committee (NWC) ordered for fresh delegates election in Shendam LGA to complete the Chairmanship election and then proceed to State Chapter election before the National convention.

“But proceedings could not go on because the lawyers to Kemi Nshe and Sati Shuwa Bature filed their preliminary objections on Wednesday having served the Claimants counsel late ,the Claimants counsel Mr F.R Yilwatda seeks for extension of time in court to response to parties”.

However, the Claimants counsel Mr Yilwatda earlier told the court that the matter was adjourned today for hearing unfortunately the 2nd and 3rd defendants just served him with P.O looking at the nature of the case is a pre election matter and he needs adequate time to response to their P.Os.

According to him, we are applying for time to respond to them accordingly.

Hon Justice Shashet after listening to the Claimants counsel adjourned to the 9th of January,2025 for continuation of hearing.
