As this year’s general election gathers momentum, the wife of Nasarawa State Governor, Mairo Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, has cautioned APC supporters in the state to beware of wayward politicians fooling followers with sugar, Maggie, and rice.
The Governor’s wife called on the people of Doma Local Government to vote the All Progressive Congress from President to State House of Assembly members in the next month General election.
She stated this while receiving 2085 decampees to the APC at the RCM Train Primary School yesterday, the Governor’s wife said voting Gen. Buhari as President, Al-Makura as Governor and other elective office seekers, and under the APC is the only solution to the lingering suffering of the masses.
Hajiya Mairo maintained that the present regime no doubt has set a standard for others to follow, she listed some of the giant strides of Governor Al-Makura in Doma ranging from the establishment of TAAL Model School, township roads, and libraries as well as dilapidated schools were given a face lift.
The occasion was well attended by crème de la crème of the party, the chairman Doma Local Government, Henry Omaku eulogized with the decampees for their foresight, saying the second coming of Governor Al-Makura would mark a milestone journey towards progress, towards lease of new life, new hope to all.
The governor’s wife also commissioned a mini roundabout conceived by the current chairman, Hajiya Al-Makura also commissioned Local Government Guest House constructed by successive chairman, renovated and furnitured by the sitting Chairman, Henry Omaku.

The wife of the governor also commissioned Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura’s campaign office along Lafia road amidst fanfare by party supporters from and within the local government; other dignitaries that graced the occasion include the Executive Chairman State Universal Basic Education Board, Mallam Abdulkarim Mohammed, and the State Commissioner for Health Dr. Emmanuel Akabe.
