Yakubu Busari

The Plateau State House of Assembly Member, Representing Pankshin North Constituency, Honourable Ambassador Kundagbenia Dewan Gabriel has condemned the media circulation of military personnel deployed to Mangu Local Government Area of the state over the ambushed and killing of three natives and twist to called them bandits.

In a press release made available to this medium in Jos, the lawmaker faults military personnel for misleading the general public by conniving with Fulani marauders to kill the locals.

According to him , their interview with an Abuja-based media, Thursday, July 13, 2023, was not the true position of what transpired in Mangu LGA .

Dewan who is known as the youngest lawmaker said the killed men were not bandits but locals who were helping the military to restore peace on the land.

He further described the attack as genocide and land grabbing as he denied the false claim of clashes between Farmers and herders.

The minority whip further called on the necessary authorities to take swift action as the attack is becoming more uncontrollable.

It would be recalled that the military via a statement made known yesterday claimed to have killed three bandits and recovered weapons from the bandits.

He condemned the unprovoked attacks and killing of the people of Plateau state and take over their ancestral homes where Fulani’s leaders are claiming to be land owners of middle belt.
