Mangu Crisis : CP Bassey  Ewah Foils Fresh Killings, Reinforces Security In The Council

The Plateau State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that the security situation in Mangu Local Government Area, which earlier led to the blockade of roads at Sabon Gari by some community members, has been brought under control through the swift intervention of our operatives working in collaboration with sister security agencies.

In a statement made available to this medium by the  SP Alfred  Alabo  the Police public relations officer  (PPRO), Plateau state command Jos  he said the Commissioner of Police, Plateau State Command, CP Bassey Ewah, hereby assures all citizens of Plateau State, especially residents of Mangu Local Government Area, that all officers of the Command are working tirelessly to ensure that the peace and normalcy now restored in Mangu LGA are sustained.

To further strengthen existing security measures, CP Bassey Ewah has rejigged the security architecture in Mangu Local Government Area to forestall any further breakdown of law and order. Additionally, he has deployed the Area Commander in charge of Pankshin Area Command, alongside additional Mobile Police personnel and other operational assets, to the affected area to enhance security coverage and ensure rapid response to distress calls.

The Commissioner of Police also assures the general public that the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb M. Mutfwang, is working in close collaboration with all security agencies in the State to ensure that the peace currently being enjoyed is sustained.

The Plateau State Police Command remains resolute in its commitment to combating crime and criminality across the State. We therefore urge all citizens to remain law-abiding and to continue their lawful activities without fear.

The Commissioner of Police encourages residents of Plateau State to remain vigilant, cooperate with security agencies, and report any suspicious activities within their communities to the nearest police station or via the following numbers:
