Delegates List Used In Electing Me Genuine-Gov Sule

Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule yesterday said the delegates list used for APC Governorship Primaries which produced him as the flag-bearer was not tampered with.

Sule who emerged victorious at the party’s governorship primaries election which took place in Lafia was reacting to insinuations that the delegates list brought to the state was doctored.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Addra, and made available to Universal Reporters, the governor said such insinuation was peddled by the media, describing it as misleading.

 He enjoined  APC members to eschew all forms of acrimony and work together for the unity of the party even as he warned office seekers and their supporters against making unguarded comments regarding the primary elections in the state, assuring that all issues arising from the exercise will be resolved amicably.

Governor Sule frowns at the negative impression created in the media space following the dissatisfaction expressed by the leadership of the party over some sections of the delegate list used for the conduct of the primaries.

”It is important to state that the list of delegates used for the governorship primaries was not tampered with at all and the party’s complaint was not in reference to the state’s delegate list.

”The noticeable changes of concern to the party leadership were only in respect of some wards in seven out of the 13 local Government areas of the state. The party leadership at all levels will work together to find an amicable resolution of all issues of concern.

”Also, the insinuations and propaganda by some individuals that there is a dispute with the National Secretariat of the party are unfortunate and far from the truth, ” he said even as he tasked party members to close ranks for the party’s success at the polls.
