Defection Of Sen. Sankara To APC Doesn’t Mean Automatic Ticket To Contest Says APC Chieftain

Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia, Chieftain of All Progressives Congress(APC) in Jigawa said that the defection of the former Senator. Danladi Sankara who represented Jigawa Northwest on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives People’s Congress (APC) does not give him the automatic ticket to contest any elective position in the party.
The condemnation came from the General Manager Jigawa Television and member of the ruling party Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia in an interview with reporters in Dutse on Monday.
He said that as a new comer to the APC, Sankara must work for the party for some time and obey the rules and regulations of the party before thinking of contesting for anything position.
The chieftain stated that there are rumors making the round that Sankara defected to APC because he wants to get the ticket to re-contest in view of the APC acceptability and popularity in the state and the country in general.
Hadejia said: I don’t think that is true, things are never done that way, if that is true, then Sankara has to follow due process to realize his ambition:
He said as a chieftain of APC, I know how we suffered to win and got people’s confidence and support, we will make sure we treat and carry everybody along irrespective of background.
Hadejia welcome Sankara to APC and promised that he is going to get the necessary support and cooperation from the members.
The chieftain said that APC has come to stay in Jigawa because of the good work that the governor, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru is doing for the people.
He, therefore, enjoined the people to give him more support and cooperation to enable him to provide more dividends of democracy to the masses
Also, the former chairman of Jahun local government area Alhaji Iliyasu Idris Dan Lawan said the defection of Sankara to APC is a blessing to PDP because Sankara is just a spy to PDP he is spying for APC.
Speaking he said thank God Sankara never decamped to APC with the supporters, he went there alone, as he assured that very soon they will receive dozen of the APC supporters to PDP which will include members of the national assembly and state assembly as well as some commissioners, he said discussion has gone far on the issue of receiving the members.
Dan Lawan said the defection of Sankara has never shaken then and nobody cares to follow him because of his rude behaviors.
