The immediate former Minister for Youth and Sports Development and the frontline Candidate for Langtang North and South Federal Constituency, Hon, Barr. Solomon Selcap Dalung has declared tomorrow a free water day in the local government headquarters.
In a statement signed by his Langtang South Coordinator CC Dashe, made available to newsmen in Mabudi, Dalung said his people have suffered degradation and untold hardship as a result of difficulties in fetching water which they will have to pay before water is drawn from the Mabudi Dam be supplied to them.
You will recall with nostalgia that Dalung brought the water treatment plant which water was supposed to be shared with the people but the pipeline was broken by contractors who were working on the Mabudi- Sabongida filling of potholes and to date, they haven’t repaired it.
Dalung said for the sake of his people, he has discussed with those that own the water units and he will pay them to give water free to the people without collecting money from them.
In a related development, he reiterated that once the issue of roads and water scarcity is put into consideration, the people of Langtang South will have some drinking water.
