Crisis Imminent In Plateau PDP, As Party Stakeholders Allegedly Accused Ambassador Kwande Secret’s Move To Hijack Party, And Mobilize Against Jang

Yakubu Busari

There may be yet another crisis in the Plateau State chapter of the PDP as some stakeholders, have accused Ambassador Yahaya Kwande of plotting to hijack the party structure by threatening the unity of the Party to sack Sen. Jonah David Jang and General Jeremiah Timbut Useni by recruiting former aspirants that contested and lost their primaries to cause chaos within the Party.

The stakeholders alleged that elder-statesman Ambassador Yahaya Kwande who is with the All-Progressives Congress, APC, and is moving to cause crises in, PDP, using the former Chairman of the party, Hon Damishi Sango to mobilize support for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

The agenda of the meeting pledged unalloyed support for Atiku Abubakar whose candidature jettisoned the zoning arrangement of the founding fathers of the party where the former Governor Jonah Jang didn’t reject his ambition but disagreed in principle to promote party ideology and that of power shift.

However, the idea of Muslim-Muslim ticket was rejected by Christian in the North, and Jang simply say that the national chairman Ayu should step down and allow peace to reign that had generated hatred and blackmail by those who were strong support of PDP in Plateau state.

Our gathered ideas of Amb.Yahaya Kwade coming from the opposition to chair the affairs of PDP amounted to playing double swords game of mobilizing support for Alh. Atiku Abubakar presidential ambition by dumping his party and working against the APC.

It’s gathered that a secret meeting which was held with Amb.Yahaya Kwande towards canvassing votes by his political associate ahead of the 2023 general elections, they were commending Yahaya Kwande for providing a neutral ground for them considering the unconstitutional move because we can’t continue to promote individuals’ interests at the detriment of our national interest.

However, the scheduled aggrieved members of the PDP aspirants like Prof. Best and Hon . Timothy Golu who has a plan to get back at Former Governor Jonah David Jang stormed the residence of Baba Kwande on his instant invitation to cause political hatred between Jang and the Plateau people.

Besides the personal hatred to destroy the relationship of Sen.Jonah Jang and Atiku Abubakar , Kwande priced himself as the convener of the PDP aggrieved members to mastermind how to take over the party structure in Plateau state.

This medium gathered that after their meeting they were all settled with some amount of money which they scrabbled to sign their names and signature for confirmation that they are committed members of Atiku campaign team.

The stakeholders are asking some of the questions as ;

 1. Why is this group suddenly finding a rallying point around an APC chieftain?

2. Is he a PDP elder or leader of the party?

3. Is this a party meeting or just a group- if the party is it not to be chaired by a BOT or state executive (chairman) by Jonah Jang

4. Why is the presumption that Jang and Useni would not attend thereby not extending them an invitation

5. Is it an attempt to demean Jang for his stance on the National crisis?

6. Look like this is Atiku’s response to attack the states of the Wike group rather than sitting at a round table to address the issues as highlighted by the group and Wike in his interview.
