COVID-19 Pandemic: DOSA Set 80 Donates Facilities For School Resumption In Kanam LGA

The National President, Dengi Old Students Association ,DOSA, Prof. Abdullahi Shehu Yibaikwal has donated at least no fewer than  1000 pieces of face mask, 300 pieces of 100ml hand sanitizer, 100 pieces of 200ml hand sanitizers, 10 pieces of water dispenser, 10 pieces of hand-wash soap, 1000 pieces of face mask to be distributed to sister schools. Presenting the items on behalf of the National President, DOSA set 80 members

 

The donations were done on behalf of the National President of the Dengi Old Students Association of the school by the National Auditor, Mr. Stephen Mwan Danladi in Kanam Local Government Council of Plateau State.

 

According to the President  Dengi Old Students Association (DOSA) has donated personal protective equipment (PPE) to its alma-mater, Government Model Secondary School Dengi on Monday 17th August, 2020 at the school premises in Dengi to cushion the widespread of COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the world.

 

In a press statement made available to our medium by Chief (Dr.) Sarki Zailani Yamusa JP National PRO, Government Secondary School Old Boys Association (DOSA) in Jos, said the donation came as a result of the dreaded corona-virus pandemic which has caused great concern to the school since its outbreak.

 

DOSA National President, Prof. Abdullahi Shehu Yibaikwal who sent a letter listing the items donated to the school through the National Auditor, Mr. Stephen Mwan Danladi listed the items which include 1000 pieces of face mask, 300 pieces of 100ml hand sanitizer, 100 pieces of 200ml hand sanitizers, 10 pieces of water dispenser, 10 pieces of hand-wash soap, 1000 pieces of face mask to be distributed to sister schools. Presenting the items on behalf of the National President, DOSA set 80 members; Alhaji Abdulrazaq A. Sambo (former council chairman of Kanam LGC) praised the National President and his EXCO for their wonderful initiatives and positive response to their alma-mater out this period of the global challenge of Covid-19 that is devastating lives and the economies of nations. He attributed this great feat to the qualitative leadership of the National President of DOSA, Prof. Abdullahi Shehu Yibaikwal who has been a shining light of the school in all facets during his service years as ambassador of DOSA to mankind and humanity.

 

Abdulrazaq also commended the ad-hoc committee that carried out the assignment which includes Mr. Bali N. Dashe (National Financial Secretary) Abdulrazaq A. Sambo (set 80) and Mr. Stephen Mwan Danladi, National Auditor General (set 84) for a work well done.

 

Responding on behalf of the school authority, the acting Principal, Alhaji Musa Musawa (Marafan Takzul) thanked DOSA members for their wonderful gestures to the school since time immemorial. He specifically expressed his happiness to the National President, Prof. Abdullahi Shehu Yibaikwal for his innovations since he assumed office as president as the school has benefited immensely from his benevolence and share of love.

 

He further stressed that Prof. Shehu Yibaikwal is not only an asset to Government Model Secondary School, Dengi but to the nation at large as demonstrated at the highest peak when recently, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR nominated him as ambassador-designate.

 

He prayed to God Almighty to continue to bless DOSA members and promised to make judicious use of the items donated.

 

The occasion was climaxed by the presence of principals of neighboring schools, the representative of the Area Directorate of Education, Mr. Yakubu Dawakdi (DOSA set 84), and the representative of the Commissioner of Secondary Education, Mallam Saidu Musa Kibal.
